Periodic preventive medical examinations are necessary to determine the state of health of employees. Their implementation ensures the prevention of occupational diseases, establishment of contraindications for the performance of certain types of work.
In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Labor Protection”, which defines the procedure for conducting preventive periodic medical examinations of employees of certain professions, industries and organizations whose activities are related to public service and may lead to the spread of infectious diseases.
In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health No. 280 dated 23.07.2002, such employees are issued personal medical records 1-OMK.
Personal medical book 1-OMK is an official medical document containing current information about a person’s health.
In the modern world, the sanitary book is almost the most requested document.
Employees of all organizations working in the area of contact with other people or food products, etc. (both commercial and budget organizations) are required to have a personal medical record.
This especially applies to employees of food enterprises, agriculture, hotels, employees of warehouses, refrigerators, cleaners, employees of canteens, restaurants, sellers, etc.
The purpose of medical examinations according to order No. 280 is to prevent the spread of infectious and dangerous diseases and to dynamically monitor the health status of the working population.
Mandatory medical examination of employees according to order No. 280 includes: general examination by specialists (therapist, dermatovenerologist, otolaryngologist, dentist, and other specialists as necessary), laboratory and functional examination according to the List of necessary examinations by specialists, types of clinical, laboratory, and other studies necessary for conducting mandatory medical examinations, and the frequency of their conduct, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health No. 280.
